Wedding Dance Lessons

What Dance?

Samba? Foxtrot? Waltz? The Electric Slide? Which category does your first dance song fall into? Does the mere thought of dancing in front of all those people make you break out in a cold sweat? Your fears could be quelled with these simple words: dancing lessons.

Lead Time

Here is the one morsel of advice offered by all wedding couples we thought: begin taking lessons well in advance of your wedding. With plenty of lead time you will have a chance to practice during the days between classes. Remember: Dancing is a muscular activity that requires repetition in order to learn. If you want to look relaxed at your wedding, you should leave enough time to learn the steps!

Private Lessons

We believe that Private lessons[?] are the most effective way to learn Ballroom Dancing. It will be just the two of you and one of us your instructors, so if you are new to the world of dance you will not feel as inhibited as you might in front of a large class.

Feel the beat

Bring in a sample of your wedding song. We will help you to find out, what song suits best the song you have selected for your wedding dance. Once you have mastered your wedding song, we will teach you few other popular dances: Salsa, Swing, Foxtrot

Dance the night away

The duration of the dance lessons is 45 minutes.

Sessions

With us you will most likely need fewer sessions, usually five. We will encourage you to practice steps from private lesson either at home or in dance studio. You should try to attend class at least once a week, though most ideal is twice a week. If the package of sessions you purchase ends well in advance of your wedding,
be sure to keep practicing your steps. Try to go out dancing about twice a month or at least take a couple of spins around the living room.

Fun

Learning to dance will probably be a lot more fun than you anticipated. This is a chance for you and your partner to spend time together, holding arms stepping on each other’s toes. Why not make a night of it? Plan to go out to dinner together after the lessons, Or better still, go home, order out and give each other foot rubs while you wait for the delivery.
